Mpc 2000(classic and xl) Non destructive "chop"
This is a brief overview of how to do a non destructive "chop" using velocity on the 2k/xl.
1.Load up a say 2 bar sample or sample in a 2 bar sample(something with a little bit of length will work)
2.Go to the programs menu(if it's not assigned to a pad assign it now).
3.In the programs menu hit f2 to go to params.
4.In the params window switch the sample from poly to mono.
5.In the params window cursor over to delay. While delay is selected hit open window.
6.In the delay window set 'Velo> Level' to 0 and set 'Velo> Start' to 100.
7.Go back to the main menu.
8.Press the 16 levels button.(make sure full level is ON)
9.Select the pad your samples on and choose velocity in the 16 levels window.
Now your sample should be non destructively "chopped" on all 16 pads with each pad canceling each other like a 1k/2500 mono pgm. To change the start time mess with the 'Velo> Start' value.
